Barking Switchboard Witness Test

As part of our supply to Barking substation in Essex, a factory witness test was performed.

I just wanted to write to say thank you for your time and efforts yesterday during our visit to your factory. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and productive day from my point of view. I can see the quality and care of your production first hand and I felt that all your staff made us very welcome indeed from the moment we arrived in the morning until we left site. You kept us fed and watered and I felt that nothing was too much trouble for you which certainly makes a change from many other suppliers.
I look forward to receiving the switchboard at Barking in due course and I am sure it will give many years of reliable service on the National Grid transmission system. I am particularly heartened that it has been designed, assembled and manufactured in the UK by a British company. Keep up the excellent work and please pass on my appreciation to all your staff.

Charnvel Ltd. were the first in the U.K to obtain 'Type Registration' in accordance with NGTS 3.12.3 issue 6 June 2007 for substation LVAC supplies. This involved subjecting our System 50 switchboard assembly to short circuit withstand, temperature rise testing to receive ASTA certification of our busbar and enclosure systems.

Our 400-800A switchboards have been assigned the AMEB01 E.G.I code.
Our 1250-1600A switchboards have been assigned the AMEB02 E.G.I code.
Our System 50 – 800A Outdoor Intermediate Boards have been assigned the AMEB23 E.G.I Code

Having completed well over 60 projects, Charnvel Ltd are considered to be the leading manufacturer and supplier of Type Registered LVAC switchboards to National Grid and its sub contractors.

We are pre-qualified to supply to the Utilities business sector with a Utility Vendor DataBase ID of 81474.

RISQS, (formerly known as Achilles Link-up) is the UK rail industry supplier qualification scheme, providing a single common registration, qualification and audit process for suppliers that is shared by the UK rail industry.

We are pre qualified to supply to the rail sector with a RISQS ID of 3643.

Shore Supply Product Acceptance

Since 1997 Charnvel Ltd have received Product Acceptance from Network Rail for the supply of 400V, 3 Phase A.C Shore Supplies.
